I am constantly amazed by the things God does. Every time I see the Spirit move, I am in awe of His power and His glory. We were in service with pastor Alan Henderson and his fine congregation yesterday (August 24th), and last night we saw the Lord move in a wonderful way. People were in the altars, some were literally lying on the floor face down. That's how strong the presence of the Spirit was.
What amazed me the most was seeing young people, who never really cared for or listened to Southern Gospel music, touched by the message the music contains. During their regular intercessory prayer before service, the members present prayed for a young man who needed to be in church and in the fold. Well, the Lord answered their prayers and that young man not only showed up for the service, he gave his heart to the Lord. All glory be to God!
I write this not to lift up the Gospel Sounds. We're not anything special, we just love to sing and minister. But I do write this to lift up Jesus Christ because He is the reason we can experience such wonderful times today.
As you go through your day today, please remember that Jesus loves you and He cares for you, and He has a plan for your life if you will only yield to Him and give Him control. Please pray for us.
